HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – Wyoming Cowgirls golf finished 14
th in the 15-team Ron Moore Intercollegiate on the University of Denver Golf Course at Highlands Ranch.
UW shot a collective 297 (+9) in the third round on Sunday to finish the tournament at 894 (+30), which was 13 shots clear of Wichita State (907).
UNLV (847, -17) edged Kansas State (848, -16) by one stroke to win the event. Minnesota's Isabella McCauley (-14) was the individual medalist.
The Cowgirls posted a better final round than Mountain West rivals Colorado State (305), New Mexico (300) and San Diego State (300)
"Very positive finish for us today in such a competitive field," UW head coach
Josey Stender said. "We beat some quality, top 25 teams today which gives us a lot of confidence going into our last event."

Kyla Wilde finished tied for 31
st at +3 for the tournament to lead the Cowgirls. Freshman
Lucia Morelli tied for 46
th (+7) and senior Megan Vogt has the team's best third-round score with an even par 72 to finish tied for 51
st (+8).

Samantha Spielman of Sheridan finished tied for 65
th (+12) and 80
th (+25) respectively, to round out UW's scoring.
"Our goal was to be consistent from start to finish," Stender said. "We had a balanced team effort to get there."
UW will conclude the fall schedule will conclude at the Hawaii Rainbow Whine Invitational Oct. 21-23 in Kapolei, Hawaii.
