LARAMIE, Wyo. — This weekend your Wyoming Cowboys will be hitting the track across the border at Colorado State University for the Doug Max Invitational.
Field events start at 10am with the men's hammer through and the track events start at 11am with the women's 1500. The last event will be the thrilling 4x400 meters at 3:00pm, you can find the schedule of events aty GoWyo.com. The meeting has a rolling schedule but will not run more than 15 minutes ahead of time.
Keep an eye out for these topped ranked performers in the conference: Katelyn Mitchem 2nd in the 3000 steeple chase, Jaheim Furgeson 1st in the 400 meters hurdles, Kareem Mersal 3rd in the long jump, Sadie McMullen 3rd in the long jump, Cameron Burkett 1st in the shotput, and Nathan Reid 3rd in the Discus.
All these athletes are all ranked top 15 in the Mountain West with two more weekends left before the 2023 Conference Championships to be held in Frenso, Calif. This will be the final weekend that a full slate of Pokes compete before the Championships.
