FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The University of Wyoming Track & Field Teams competed in the Jack Christiansen Invitational on the campus of Colorado State University with a full slate of action of Saturday afternoon.
THROWS
- Cameron Burkett won the Shot Put at 59-11.
- Cossette Stellern took fifth in the Discus with a toss of 159-01.
- Kaitlyn Disbrow finished is in third place in the Javelin with a throw of 129-05.
JUMPS
- Samuel Schneider goes 6-8 in the Long Jump en route to a first place finish for the Cowboy.
- Sadie McMullen and Kareem Mersal sweep the top spot in the Long Jump as the pair of Wyoming student athletes win the Womens and mens side of the event. McMullen went 19-9.75 while Mersal jumped 24-3.5.
- Aumni Ashby and Elayna Chafee took the two and three spots in the Triple Jump. Ashby went 41-0.5 while Chafee leapt 38-4.75.
SPRINTS
- Jaheim Ferguson took third place in the 110M Hurdles with a sprint of 14.37.
- Gabby Drube also with a third place finish in the hurdles with a time of 14.64.
- Carter McComb ran an 11.2 in the 100M dash for a second place finish.
- Hailey Esser got a second place finish in the 400M run with a time of 59.26.
- Jaymison Cox and Darius Wiggins went two-three in men's 400 running times of 47.17 and 47.99 respectively. Cox went 21.79 in the 200 for a first place finish in the event.
- Ferguson took first in the 400M Hurdles with a time of 52.28.

From the Stanford Invitational
A pair of University of Wyoming Track & Field student athletes hit the track at the University of Stanford and the Stanford Invitational on Friday evening to compete in the 3000M Steeplechase amongst elite competition.
Katelyn Mitchem broke the Wyoming school record by 15 seconds running a time of 9:52.49 to finish second in her heat. Mitchem now Now holds the school record in three different events. In the Indoor 800, Indoor Mile and has the second best time in the Indoor 3K. This is the third school record she has taken down in the past three months.
Seth Bruxvoort took to the 3000M Steeplechase and set a new personal best with a run of 8:53.13. Bruxvoort maintains his spot as No. 10 on the UW all-time top 10 list.
