LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 16, 2023) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team returns to action and returns home to the friendly confines of the Laramie Tennis Center for a 1 p.m., contest Saturday as MSU Denver comes to town.

The Cowgirls (2-5) are coming off a split last week down in McComb, Miss., having lost 4-3 to West Alabama before rebounding to blank McNeese State, 4-0. Wyoming's third contest in McComb against SE Louisiana was cancelled due to rain. UW is 5-1 overall now in matches played in McComb.

Noesjka Brink and Violetta Borodina both went 2-0 last week to lead Wyoming in singles action. In doubles play, the duos of Ana Fernandez and Sophie Zehender, as well as Brink and Nikol Dobrilova, picked up wins against McNeese State. Those two tandems lead the Cowgirls with three doubles wins each this spring. Dobrilova, meanwhile, has a team-best four singles wins in dual action.

MSU Denver will be making the trip to Laramie for the second consecutive season. The roadrunners are 4-3 overall in 2023 and will be making their first true road trip of the season.
