Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - (Sept. 19, 2022) – The Wyoming Cowgirl golf squad continued play at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational on Monday completing the second round of action. With 36 holes in the books the Cowgirls sit in 11^th place as a team being led by and outstanding effort from Samantha Hui who is currently tied for 15^th amongst a highly competitive field. 
 
"Sam was very steady and focused today and it was really fun to watch her compete." Head Women's Golf Coach Josey Stender said, "Kyla had a very solid round as well and it is great to watch her grow out of her comfort zone." 
 
After leading the Cowgirls in the first round, Hui kept her impressive performance in the second round shooting a 70 (-1), tying her career best single round score and putting her in a tie for 15^th amongst a field of national ranked athletes and regional qualifiers from a season ago. Hui recorded three birdies in the second round bringing her total for the tournament to five heading into the final round of play. 
 
Kyla Wilde also improved from her first round posting a second-round score of 71 (E) putting her in a tie for 26^th. After shooting a 76 (+5) in the second round, Morgan Ryan currently sits in a tie for 50^th. Jadan Gonzalez and Rachel Stoinski round out the Cowgirl lineup finishing the second round tied for 70^th and 81^st respectively. 
 
As a team, the Cowgirls currently sit in 11^th with a team score of 589 (+23) holding a two-stroke lead over Northern Arizona while being just one stroke back of Cincinnati. Sacramento State are the current team leaders with a score of 563 (-50 and are the only team to be under par after two rounds. 
 
The Cowgirls will up competition tomorrow with the final round of play set to tee off at 8:30 a.m. MT.
