LARAMIE, Wyo. (April. 2, 2022) – After a week off, the University of Wyoming Women's Golf squad returns to action as they are set to host the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on April 4-5 in Maricopa, Arizona at the AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

Last time out the Cowgirls earned a ninth-place finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational finishing ahead of the reigning West Coast Conference champions Gonzaga. The duo of
Jessica Zapf and
Samantha Hui led the way both finishing tied for 22
nd in the competitive field.
Joining Zapf and Hui in the starting lineup this week will be
Kyla Wilde,
Meghan Vogt and
Morgan Ryan. The trio of
Cristiana Ciasca,
Michelle Nguyen and
Rachel Stoinski will all be in action as well competing as individuals.
The Cowgirls will be up against one of the largest fields they have faced all season as 22 teams are set to take the course in Arizona. Amongst those teams is Grand Canyon University who are on a hot streak winning two of the last three tournaments they have competed in. The field also features the 2022Mountain Classic Match Play Champions in Seattle.
The Cowgirl Classic will tee off on Monday on the 6,191-yard par 72 course with the first 36 holes of play starting at 8:30 a.m. MT. Play will conclude on Tuesday with the final round of play.
