LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 15, 2022) – The Wyoming Cowgirls closed their 2022 home slate Tuesday night against Border Rival Colorado State. The Rams proved to be too much on the night, sweeping UW 25-20, 25-21 and 25-22.
A trio of Cowgirls (10-19, 6-11 MW) led the way with 10 kills Tuesday. Tierney Barlow, Corin Carruth and Rylee Schulz all had 10 with Barlow hitting .563. KC McMahon added nine in her final match inside the UniWyo.
Kasia Partyka notched a match-high 32 assists in the loss and also had a pair of solo blocks. For the match, Wyoming had a slim 7-6 edge in total blocks. In the back row, defensively, Hailey Zuroske, who was also playing her final home match, led the way with 11 digs.
CSU (19-9, 12-5 MW) hit .257 in the contest while the Cowgirls hit .218. The Rams also had a big advantage at the service line, tallying a 4-2 edge in service aces, but committed just five errors to Wyoming's 11.
The Brown & Gold closes out the 2022 season Thursday at conference champion UNLV.
