Denver, Colo. - (Oct. 9, 2022) – The Wyoming Cowgirl golf squad concluded play at the Denver Ron Moore Intercollegiate on Sunday completing the final round of action at the University of Denver Golf Club.
Jadan Gonzalez capped off the tournament with her best round of the weekend shooting a 72 (E) bringing her three-day total to 222 (+6) as she finished tied for 44
th.
Morgan Ryan also saved her best round for Sunday shooting a 73 (+1) on her way to finishing tied for 62
nd with a three-round score of 226 (+10).
Samantha Hui closed out the tournament with a score of 228 (+12) finishing in 66
th. The duo of
Kyla Wilde and
Rachel Stoinski rounded out the Cowgirl lineup finishing tied for 76
th and 90
th respectively.
Playing as an individual,
Jessica Zapf finished the day with a three-round total of 239 (+23) as she finished tied for 84
th.
As a team, the Cowgirls finished in 16
th with a score of 907 (+43) coming in just five strokes behind 15
th place Hawaii. Vanderbilt ran away with the team title posting a score of 839 (-25) beating the rest of the field by 20 strokes with Xavier finishing in second with a score of 859 (-5).
The Cowgirls will wrap up their fall schedule on October 24-26 as they travel to Kapolei, Hawaii to compete in the Rainbow Wahine Invitational.
