BOISE, Idaho (Nov. 18, 2021) – The Wyoming volleyball team was swept on the road Thursday night, losing at Boise State 25-21, 25-19 and 25-14.
The Cowgirls (16-13, 8-9 MW) struggled to get going on offense in the match, hitting just .112 in the loss. Boise State (21-9, 10-7 MW) meanwhile, hit .265 on the night. The Broncos, who came into the evening leading the Mountain West in blocks, gave UW fits defensively at the net, out-blocking the Cowgirls 15-4.
KC McMahon led the way with a match-high 11 kills in the match. Jackie McBride added six and hit .600 while Kayla Mazzocca and Hailey Zuroske added five kills each. Lexie Collins led Wyoming at the net defensively with three total blocks and Mazzocca and McBride added two block assists each.
Erika Jones led the way in the back row with 11 digs and had a pair of service aces while Zuroske chipped in with 10 digs. Abby Olsen led the Cowgirls with 17 assists in the loss while Payton Chamberlain added 12.
UW looks to rebound now to close out the season as it travels to Utah State for a Saturday matinee at noon with the Aggies.
