What was the experience like of winning a NJCAA title?

Winning a NJCAA national title meant the world to me because all my hard work had finally paid off and it was an amazing experience.

Having won a national title at the NJCAA level, how has that prepared you to now compete at the NCAA D1 level?

I believe that winning a NJCAA title prepared me a lot for D1 because it taught me how to work hard and wrestle for the whole 7 minutes of the match.

Having wrestled Stephen Buchanan at the Cowboy open what is like to now be practicing with him?

Wrestling Stephen at the Cowboy open was a fun match and wrestling him in practice is always a challenge because he never stops wrestling which is good for me because he making me a better wrestler practice by practice.

After winning an NJCAA title, why did you decide to come to UW to continue your wrestling career?

I decided to come to UW because it felt to be the best place for me for my academic and athletic career.

During your time at Western Wyoming, where do you think you improved the most as a wrestler?

What I learned best from my time at western was to always push the pace of the match and to wrestle the whole match and push my opponent.

Do your model style after any other wrestlers?

Brent Metcalf is my all-time favorite wrestler because of his pace and style.

Going into your first season with UW what goals have you set for yourself?

My goals for my first year at UW are to get better every day and excel in the wrestling room and class room.
