LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 15, 2021) – After postponing their dual against Fresno State, the Wyoming Cowboy Wrestling squad has made a late addition to their schedule and will travel to Air Force this Sunday to compete in individual competition. The Cowboys will have a chance to face opponents from both Air Force and South Dakota State University, no team scores will be kept. The event is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. MT.

"I was obviously disappointed that our dual this weekend against Fresno State was postponed, so we looked at competitions that we could drive to and saw the Tri-dual scheduled at Air Force." Head Coach
Mark Branch said" I reached out to Coach Hahn at SDSU and Coach Barber at AFA and they were both very gracious to include us in their event. I am thrilled that we will get to compete this weekend. With the shortened season, we really want to take advantage of any opportunity we can get to compete."

A group of Cowboys will make the trip to Air Force on Sunday and will compete in individual matches against opponents from Air Force and South Dakota State. While no team scores will be kept, all matches will count towards individual records. In a unique season this event will serve as a chance for the Cowboys to get more mat time and experience under their belt.Â

Last time out the Cowboys competed in a tri-dual where they knocked off No.17 Central Michigan 24-11 led by a upset victory from
Job Greenwood who pinned No.19 Drew Marten in just 52 seconds.
Hayden Hastings also had a stand out performance going 3-0 on the day and improving 4-0 on the season. Hastings is currently ranked No.15.Â
