MARICOPA, Ariz. (April 8, 2019) – The Wyoming women's golf team sits in a tie for 10th after the first 36 holes at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Monday, held at the par-72, 6,131-yard Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
"We played solid with the exception of a few holes in the first round," head coach
Josey Stender said. "Kaylee (Knadler) was fun to watch play focused and confident. The afternoon heat really firmed up the conditions and I thought we adjusted very well. Tomorrow we need to continue to give ourselves opportunities for birdies and it will put us in a great position for a strong finish."
Â
The Cowgirls are knotted at 26-over to tie Boise State for 10th following rounds of 304 and 298 on Monday. UTEP is the team leader after day one at 10-over. New Mexico State's Suthavee Chanachai is the clubhouse leader individually at 8-under.

Wyoming was led by junior
