"We started fine and then had a tough middle part of our round today, but I was proud of the way the guys fought back," said
Joe Jensen, University of Wyoming Director of Golf and Head Men's Golf Coach. "Kirby (Coe-Kirkham) finished a little tough, but he is only one shot out of the lead. He is in position to win the individual title, and our goal as a team is still to go out and win a golf tournament tomorrow and that is what we'll talk about as a team tonight. We're in position to do that with a good round.
"We were two-under as a team at one point in the second round and were as high as five over, but I liked the way the guys hung in there and kept us in contention. They did a good job of encouraging each other on the back nine. It was good to see there passion."
The Ron Moore Intercollegiate is being played on the University of Denver Golf Club in Highlands Ranch, Colo. The course measures 7,285 yards and plays to a Par of 71. The third and final 18-hole round will be played on Sunday, Oct. 6. The Wyoming Cowboys are scheduled to tee off at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday morning and they will play with Denver and North Dakota State.
