Highlands Ranch, Colo. (Oct. 7, 2017) – The University of Wyoming women's golf team sits in 12th-place after the second day of the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate on Saturday. UW tallied a second-round team score of 308 (+20), giving it a two-round total of 601 (+25) heading into the final round of play.
 
"We had a tough time today keeping it on the correct side of difficult hole locations," Cowgirl head coach Josey Stender said. "The more positive, calm and calculated we play the better the result, so we will need to stick to that tomorrow. Erin (Sargent) and Gabrielle (Gibson) were once again solid for us. We need to close the gap with out 3-4-5 spots to be where we know we can."
 
Sophomore Erin Sargent continues to pace the Brown and Gold and is tied for 17th through two rounds. Sargent has a two-day total 145 (+1), after a 75 (+3) on Saturday. Senior Gabrielle Gibson shot Saturday's lowest round for UW at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club. She posted a 72 (+2) and is just one shot behind Sargent, tied for 19th with a 146 (+2). Gibson also followed her two birdies yesterday with a team-best five during the second round.
 
Freshman Caitlyn Skavdahl shot a 74 (+2) on Friday and added an 80 (+8) on Saturday. Skavdahl is currently tied for 57th with a 154 (+10) as the final round remains. Redshirt sophomore Kaylee Knadler posted one of her better rounds of the season with a 76 (+4) on Saturday, while her sister, junior Megan Knadler recorded a 79 (+7) during the middle round. Kaylee Knadler's 157 (+13) gives her a share of 65th, as Megan is three shots back tied for 70th.
 
Junior Sarah Hankins shot an 84 (+12) and now has a two-round total of 161 (+17), while freshman Jordan Remley also recorded an 84 (+12) on Saturday. Remley has a total mark of 163 (+19) through two rounds.
 
The third and final round for the event is slated for Sunday morning, beginning at 9 a.m. MT.
