Davis went 5-5 in duals. He missed some time with injury. Davis placed runner-up at the Reno Tournament of Champions, winning three of those matches via sudden victory. In fact, he tied for the most overtime wins on the team with three. Davis was seeded No. 8 at his first Big 12 Tournament and went 1-2. 2023-24 (Medical Redshirt): Davis compiled a record of 7-6 at 174 before sustaining a season-ending injury. He started four of the first five duals and held a 2-2 record. Davis made his first-career start at CSU-Bakersfield and won via pin. He was 5-4 in regular-season tournaments with three of the victories occurring at the Cliff Keen Invite. Davis had a remarkable comeback at the Cliff Keen, as he trailed Northwestern’s David Ferrante 12-0 midway through the second period before rallying for a 16-14 decision win. He also made a couple other comebacks, albeit in losses, as he trailed Northern Iowa’s Jared Simma, 8-1, before falling, 11-10, and was down to Campbell’s Austin Murphy, 10-0, before falling by a final score of 16-15. High School: Davis started his prep career in Oregon at Sprague High School where he was the state runner-up in 2020 before capturing back-to-back individual state titles in 2021 and 2022. He wrapped up his prep career at Randall High School where he finished his senior season with a runner-up finish at the state tournament. He also earned a first-place finish at the 2022 USMC Folkstyle National Recruiting Showcase. Personal: Davis is majoring in entrepreneurship.
