2025-26 (Redshirt-Freshman): Carroll started at HWT, compiling a 23-9 record, which included a 12-8 mark against ranked competition. Carroll earned All-American status by way of an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. As the No. 18 seed, he won four consecutive bouts following a loss to No. 15 Brady Colbert (Army). Carroll’s backside tear included wins over No. 31 Brenan Morgan (Virginia), No. 16 Jimmy Mullen (Virginia Tech), No. 9 Cole Mirasola and No. 27 Hunter Catka (Rutgers). Carroll dropped matches to No. 7 Konner Doucet (Oklahoma State) and No. 10 David Szuba (Arizona State) en route to his eighth-place finish. Carroll was the highest-seeded HWT to All-American in Cleveland. He was the third consecutive Cowboy to win four straight at the NCAA Championships. NCAAs were a bounce back for Carroll who struggled at the Big 12 Championships. He went 1-2 in Tulsa as the No. 3 seed. Carroll enjoyed success at invitationals, placing second at the Cliff Keen Invite and third at the Soldier Salute Tournament. He was 10-2 in duals. Carroll enjoyed a nine-bout win streak at one point during the season. He was also a takedown and bonus-point machine. Carroll boasted a team-best 81 takedowns, and 14 of his wins were of the bonus-point variety.

Before Wyoming: Carroll spent one season at Iowa State. He only competed during the fall semester prior to sustaining a season-ending injury. Carroll owned a record of 5-5 and recorded a couple of impressive victories over Northern Iowa’s Wyatt Voelker (Big 12 Champion) and Stanford’s Nik Stemmet (NCAA qualifier). Carroll committed to Oklahoma State out of high school and redshirted as a HWT during his inaugural collegiate season, logging a record of 2-1.

High School: Carroll competed for Jimtown High School where he was named the nation’s No. 1 pound-for-pound recruit in the class of 2023. He was a member of the U20 United States World Team and participated in the U20 World Championships. Carroll claimed a 2023 U.S. Open title and was a U20 Freestyle national champion, which earned him a spot on the World Team. He competed in the U20 World Championships in Bulgaria. Carroll was also a two-time Super 32 champion and a junior freestyle national champion in 2021.
