Career Highlights:

• 2024 Champion of the Reno Tournament of Champions

2024-25 (Redshirt): Avila redshirted his first year with the program. He competed in eight events, six tournaments and two duals. Avila compiled a 24-8 record, 6-7 against Division I foes. He got the start at North Dakota State and at South Dakota State, falling in both duals. He won the Reno Tournament of Champions, compiling a record of 5-0. Two-thirds (16) of Avila’s wins were bonus-point victories. He logged his first-career win at the Colorado Mines Rookie Open. 

High School: Avila competed for Thunder Basin High School. He captured an individual state title each of his four seasons as a Bolt. Avila also helped Thunder Basin claim a team state title his senior year.

Personal: Avila is majoring in physiology.
