Biography

Covid Senior (Fall 2021)
Made history by becoming the first and only five-time All-Mountain West honoree in league history. Was third on the team with 220 kills and 2.08 kills per set. Was third in the league in conference play with a .383 hitting percentage while hitting .352 overall for the season, the seventh-best mark in the league. Led UW with 87 total blocks on the season and finished third on the team with 293.5 points. Started in all but one match during her final season in the Brown and Gold. Finished her illustrious career ninth all-time with 1,085 kills while her career hitting percentage of .338 is third-best all-time. McBride's 549 total blocks are the fifth-most in program history while her 502 matches played are by far the most in program history.

Named to the All-Mountain West Volleyball Team for the fourth time in her illustrious career. Became the eighth student-athlete in league history to become a four-time all-league honoree and just the second Cowgirl to be named All-MW four times (Erin Kirby, 2011-14). Finished third in the league in blocks per set (1.26), fourth in hitting percentage (.371) and 10th in points per set (3.45), all of which led the Cowgirls. McBride also led UW in points with 148.5, despite missing the final two matches of the season. Finished second on the team with 103 kills and 2.40 kills per set. Moved into fifth on the all-time career blocks list in program history with 462. Named the Mountain West’s Offensive Player of the Week February 15. SAAC Mountain West representative.

Was selected to the All-Mountain West Team for the third time in her career · Ranked third in the Mountain West with a .360 hitting percentage and that mark is the fourth-best for a season in program history · McBride’s 1.26 blocks per set ranked sixth in the league while her 150 total blocks were the second-most in the MW · Her 3.47 points per set ranked 10th in the conference · McBride led the Cowgirls with 412.5 points in 2019 while her 310 kills were second on the team · McBride was one of two Cowgirls to appear in all 119 sets in 2019 · She recorded 10 or more points in 26 matches last season · Had a double-double at New Mexico (9/28) as she recorded 10 kills and 11 blocks · Recorded a career-high 18 kills in the win at Air Force (10/3) · Her 150 blocks are the 10th-most for a single season in program history · Moved into the all-time top-10 list for career blocks in 2019 · Her .331 career hitting percentage ranks third currently in program history · Named MW Offensive Player of the Week on November 18 · SAAC President · Selected to the Mountain West All-Academic Team.

Jackie McBride picked up where she left off in 2017 as a sophomore, compiling an impressive 2018 season for the Pokes • Was awarded All-MW honors for the second consecutive season, alongside senior Reed Copeland • Started in all 31 matches for the Cowgirls in 2018, totaling a career-high 119 sets played • Finished eighth in the MW in hitting percentage (.306, 235-73-530) and ninth in total blocks (131) • Her 131 blocks ranked second on the team and was a career high, besting her previous of 127 • Recorded the first double-double of her career in the Cowgirls’ win at New Mexico, compiling 10 kills and a career-high 14 blocks • Added 14 kills in the Pokes’ upset of No. 15 Colorado to set a new career high • Tied her career high in service aces with three against Iowa • Twice named MW Offensive Player of the Week • Named to the Academic All-MW Team.


Freshman (2017) | Match-By-Match Statistics

Jackie McBride had a tremendous freshman campaign for the Brown and Gold • Along with Tara Traphagan, she was named All-MW for the first time in her career • She started in all 31 matches, and played 115 sets • McBride closed out the year fourth in hitting percentage in both conference play (.346, 135-33-295) and all sets played (.320, 217-63-481) • McBride also led the team with 127 total blocks (1.10 bps), which finished just outside the top-ten in the MW • She posted double-figure kills in seven matches during 2017 • She twice had a season-high of 13 kills • The first came against UNLV (9/21) before posting 13 once more against Boise State (11/2).

High School 
A four-year letterwinner and two-time team captain at Rangeview High School • A three-time first team All-East Metro Athletic Conference selection • Led her team to an EMAC Championship during her freshman and senior seasons, as well as the regional final three times • Also a three-time All-EMAC selection in soccer • A Colorado High School Athletic Association Scholar in both soccer and volleyball • A member of the National Honor Society • Student body president her senior year • An athletic activities appreciation committee chair member and a Thespian Society member • Senior yearbook editor • Coached by Doug Walker.
