Senior (2024): Barela started the first two games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury. She fired two shots, one of which was on target.
Junior (2023): Barela participated in all 19 games, making 10 starts, for a total of 996 minutes played. She netted five goals, good enough for second-best on the team, and 10 points, which ranked fourth on the squad. Barela scored three of her goals during non-conference and two of them against Mountain West Conference foes. She matched a career-high four shots on two different occasions, once against Idaho State (9/7/23) and again at New Mexico (10/22/23). Barela logged 38 shots on the season and 17 shots were on target.
Sophomore (2022): Barela participated in 18 games, making five starts, for a total of 758 minutes played. She scored one goal, and it occurred against North Dakota (8/28/22). Barela had 21 shots on the season, 11 of which were on target. She boasted a season-high four shots versus North Dakota State (9/2/22) and at Nevada (10/6/22).
Redshirt Freshman (Fall 2021): Barela participated in 17 games, making two starts, for a total of 522 minutes played. She netted her first-career goal against Northern Colorado (9/16/21), while adding an assist in a victory over Air Force (10/8/21). Barela recorded five shots on the season, four of which were on frame. She boasted a season-high two shots against Fresno State (10/3/21).
Freshman (Spring 2021): Barela participated in all nine games for a total of 309 minutes. She boasted an assist in the season-opening victory over Utah State (3/5/21). Barela had a team-high three shots against Air Force (3/11/21) and finished the season with four shots, three of which were on target.
High School: Barela was a three-year letterwinner while attending Fossil Ridge High School. She helped her team to a city championship and reached the 5A Colorado State and ECNL National playoffs. Barela was also a team captain and named the Player of the Year in 2015. In addition to soccer, she also lettered in basketball and track. Barela helped her team to a Final Four state appearance and two city championships. In track and field, she earned All-Conference in several events and finished fifth at the state meet in the 200-meter relay. Barela was also named Academic All-State.
Personal: Barela is the daughter of Teddy and Juleigh Barela. She has one sibling, Zaeleigh. Barela is majoring in kinesiology and health promotion.
