High School: Graduate of Laramie High School in Laramie, Wyo., Smith ran cross country and track and holds the school record in the SMR and was a part of the 4x800m state runner-up relay all while graduating with honors.

Personal: Son of Deanna and Ronn Smith, brother of Roman and Gavin. Father Ronn ran cross country and track in college. Chose Wyoming to be close to family and for the great connection with coaches and the team. Was also recruited by TCU, Baylor, Boise State and Black Hills State. Plans to graduate in 2027 with a degree in business management.
