High School: Graduate of Thunder Basin High School in Gillette, Wyo., Doherty ran cross country and track as a team captain and finished 12th at the 4A state cross country meet, first in the 4x800m and second in the 1600m relay all while graduating salutatorian and being a member of the student advisory group.

Personal: Daughter of Catherine and Patrick Doherty, sister of Mike, Melissa, Mark, Matthew, Marie and Morgan. Sister Marie competed in the hurdles at Wyoming from 2017-2021. Chose Wyoming over Chadron State, Black Hills State, Sioux Falls and Coker because Laramie has become a second home with siblings who went to Wyoming. Plans to graduate in 2028 with a degree in speech pathology.
