LARAMIE, Wyoming (9/28/26) – The University of Wyoming men's golf team is back in action this week. The Cowboys play in the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite on Tuesday and Wednesday at Boulder Country Club.

It's a par-70 track spanning 6,967 yards. The tournament begins Tuesday with 36 holes starting at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday's final 18 holes commence at 7:30 a.m.

The Pokes are fresh off a fifth-place finish at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite last week. More than that, Brody Leid claimed the individual crown in what was his first-collegiate victory.

The win represented Leid's fourth straight top 11 finish, dating back to last year. Brody Knowlton gave Leid some company in Colorado Springs with his second top 16 in his last three tournaments.

More Cowboys will look to join near the top of the leaderboard in Boulder. It's a tournament where Wyoming placed seventh a year ago at 18-under. Leid led the way, tying for ninth at 9-under.

In addition to the Cowboys and Colorado, 15 other teams are slated to play. Air Force, Arkansas State, Boise State, Colorado State, Denver, Long Beach State, Kansas City, Nevada, Northern Colorado, Pacific, San Diego, UTEP, Utah, Utah State and Utah Valley are set to tee it up.

Following the trip to Boulder, the Pokes host their first of three tournaments this season. The first-annual Tall City Collegiate runs from Oct. 12-13 at Midland Country Club in Midland, Texas.
