LARAMIE, Wyo. (April 8, 2026) – University of Wyoming Athletics has announced a multi-year contract extension with Cowgirl Volleyball Head Coach, Kaylee Prigge. The extension runs through the 2029 season.

"Thank you so much to Taylor Stuemky, Tom Burman and the rest of our administration for their confidence and support of Cowgirl Volleyball," said Prigge.

"There is a lot of change on the horizon, a new Mountain West conference and the ever-changing landscape of college athletics. Wyoming volleyball is about the team of people we have in place and continue to build. The collaborative effort of the staff, and the young women we develop, on the court, in the classroom and in the community."

In her first three seasons at the helm, Prigge has compiled 57 wins and a pair of national postseason tournament appearances. In 2025, Prigge guided the Cowgirls to the Mountain West Volleyball Championship Tournament for the first time since the league moved to the six-team format in 2021. Wyoming won 13 Mountain West contests in 2025, the most since the 2019 season.

As head coach, Prigge has eight Cowgirls that have received All-Mountain West honors, while student-athletes have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, eight times.

"We are so proud and extremely grateful to continue to represent our great state. We are excited to continue to roll up our sleeves every day pursuing excellence in everything we do. I am committed to continuing to create an environment that allows Cowgirl Volleyball to keep pushing the limit of what we can achieve together and make history," continued Prigge.
