ST. GEORGE, Utah – Cowgirl golf returns to the links to compete in the nine-team Thunderbird Invitational starting Friday at the par-72, 5,914-yard Sunbrook Golf Club.

Wyoming, coming off a fourth-place finish at the Grand Canyon Invitational, will tee off in the 54-hole tournament beginning with the first round at 8:30 a.m. Friday.

At the 2024 Thunderbird Classic, senior Jadan Gonzalez, shared the individual trophy during a strong showing for UW.

This year's field also includes host Southern Utah, Idaho State, Omaha, Loyola Chicago, Stetson, Utah Valley, Utah Tech and Weber State. The second round will be played Saturday with the final round on Sunday.

"This tournament is one we look forward to every year," UW head coach Josey Stender said. "We've had a lot of success in the past as the course sets up well for our team strengths and this year is no different."

The Cowgirls had two top 10 individual finishes at the GCU Invitational with freshman Kiley Reisner finishing sixth at +3 and junior Elle Higgins finishing eighth at +8.
