LARAMIE, Wyo. (Oct. 26, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls played the first of two exhibitions this season Monday night as the Cowgirls hosted Colorado Christian. Wyoming used a strong second half on its way to a 75-50 victory.
Norah Clark provided the first seven points of the game for the Cowgirls as they took an early lead Monday. Wyoming led 11-6 at the first media timeout of the contest. Out of the timeout, Clark continued to play well for UW offensively, but CCU kept things close in the first 10 minutes of the exhibition thanks to hot outside shooting as things were tied after the first.
The Cougars took the lead back to open the second before Kati Ollilainen got her offense going a bit in the frame. Colorado Christian continued to play well offensively and led at the second media timeout. After some strong defense from Wyoming during stretches of the second, CCU got its offense going again later in the half and led at halftime.
The second half began with the two teams trading 3-pointers in three consecutive possessions as Taylor Donaldson drilled a couple for UW. The Cowgirls buried a trio of 3-pointers in the first two minutes of the half to reclaim the lead. Wyoming got it going on both ends of the floor to begin the third as Donaldson's 10 points helped lead to a Colorado Christian timeout with 5:28 left in the quarter. Following the timeout, the Cowgirls' strong play continued as they built a double-digit advantage going into the fourth.
Colorado Christian found its offensive rhythm again to begin the fourth before the UW defense tightened up again. The Wyoming offense lost some of its potency at the beginning of the quarter before a timeout midway through got it back on track in a big way. The Cowgirls played a lot of bodies in the final 10 minutes, and all available Cowgirls saw action Monday night.
Clark led the Cowgirls in scoring while Donaldson was second on the team in points, as both scored in double figures. Liv Blomkvist was strong in the paint as she neared a double-double on the night and led Wyoming in rebounding. Ollilainen, in her first action since 2024-25, led the Cowgirls in assists.
UW got 27 points from its bench in the win and had an 18-2 advantage in second-chance points. The Cowgirls also scored 20 points off 15 CCU turnovers, while also enjoying the margin in paint scoring. Wyoming was plus-11 on the boards and dished out 17 assists as it shared the ball well.
The Cowgirls shot 46-percent from the field and were also strong at the free-throw line, making 11-of-14. Wyoming held Colorado Christian to just 31.3-percent shooting overall and 5-of-16 (31.3-percent) from beyond-the-arc.
Wyoming is back in action Friday night at 6 as South Dakota Mines comes to the Arena-Auditorium for the Cowgirls' final exhibition.
