COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 26, 2026) – Wyoming Cowgirl Jane Rumpf was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Freshman of the Week announced Monday by the league office. It is the first honor of Rumpf's career and the first honor this season for a Cowgirl.

Rumpf earned the accolade after her week in Wyoming's two wins against Utah State. Against the Aggies, Rumpf averaged 12.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game on 9-of-17 shooting from the floor and making five 3-pointers. In Wednesday's win against USU, Rumpf scored nine points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks in just 15 minutes of action. Saturday, Rumpf went 6-of-11 from the floor, buried four 3-pointers and scored 16 points to go along with three assists and four boards.

Rumpf and the rest of the Cowgirls look to extend their three-game winning streak Wednesday as Fresno State comes to town for a 6:30 p.m., contest.
