LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 15, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls return home Saturday for a 2 p.m., contest as they host Air Force. It will be Wyoming's annual Bounce Cancer contest. The team will wear special lavender alternate jerseys in honor of the event. The Bounce Cancer walk will begin at 11:30 a.m., on the Arena-Auditorium concourse. Registration for the walk is at 10:45. Fans can register for the walk or bid on the special edition Bounce Cancer jerseys by going to gowyo.com/bouncecancer. All funds raised will be donated to the Invinson Memorial's Meredith & Jeannie Ray Cancer Center.
Saturday's game will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network and can be heard across the Cowgirl Radio Network with David Settle and Jennifer Aadland on the call.
ABOUT THE COWGIRLS
Wyoming is coming off a 77-40 road loss at Boise State Wednesday night. Malene Pedersen once again led the Cowgirls in scoring, with 14 points in the loss. Pedersen has now reached double figures in 36 consecutive games and also scored 10-plus while making a 3-pointer for the 24th-straight contest, extending her national-leading streak. Saturday will feature the league's top two scorers in Air Force's Milahnie Perry (17.3 PPG) and Pedersen (16.6 PPG). Pedersen is also tied for the Cowgirl lead averaging 3.8 rebounds per game and is third on the squad with 36 assists.
The Cowgirls got solid bench contribution Wednesday night as Karoline Lundin tied a career-high with seven points in the loss. Also, off the bench was Heidur Karlsdottir, who tied a career-high with six points and pulled down a team-leading seven rebounds. Karlsdottir also set career-bests with three blocks and three assists on the night.
UW continues to share the ball well this season, assisting on 65.7-percent of its field goals on the year and ranking fourth in the league averaging 13.6 assists per game. The Cowgirls are up to third in the Mountain West averaging 3.3 blocks per game. Wyoming's 12.4 personal fouls per contest as a team are the fewest in the MW and sixth-fewest in the country.
SCOUTING AIR FORCE
Air Force has done Air Force Things in 2025-26, holding opponents to just 59.8 points per game and are forcing opponents into 18.5 turnovers a contest. The Falcons average 9.9 steals per game. AFA is averaging 59.2 points per game and is shooting 36.4-percent from the floor and 28.5-percent from 3-point range. The Falcons average 34.8 rebounds per game, including 12.2 on the offensive glass and is minus-0.6 as a team.
Milahnie Perry is averaging a Mountain West-best 17.3 points per game and is the only Falcon averaging in double figures this season. Perry is also tied for the team lead with 37 assists. Jayda McNabb does everything for Air Force as she leads the team averaging 7.8 rebounds per game, is tied with Perry with 37 assists and has a team-high 39 steals and 15 blocks. Keelie O'Hollaren is second on the team averaging 9.8 points per game.
SERIES HISTORY AGIANST AIR FORCE
Wyoming leads the all-time series with the Falcons, 63-4 and has won the last seven meetings, including all three contests last season. The Cowgirls are undefeated all-time in Laramie against Air Force.
