Men’s Golf Moves Up to 19th on Final Day of Gene Miranda Falcon Invite

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (9/22/25) – The University of Wyoming men's golf team saved its best for last at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite. The Cowboys moved up the leaderboard with their best team round of the tournament Monday, firing a 288 (E), to finish in a tie for 19th.

"We are working on getting better, and we got better each round this week," head coach Joe Jensen said. "The boys are working hard, and I'm appreciative of that. Even-par is outstanding, and it's a great round for these guys. We showed something today, and I'm proud of the guys."

Kristof Panke kicked it into gear on his final nine holes of the Eisenhower – Blue Course. He holed three birdies and an eagle to punctuate a final round 70 (-2). Panke finished in 13th at 212 (-4).

Brody Leid enjoyed the best round on the team Monday. He boasted a 68 (-4), which got him back to even-par at 216 and in a tie for 28th. Leid's final round featured six birdies, half of which were recorded consecutively.

Ryker Lind tied for 92nd at 226 (+10), following a Monday round of 78 (+6). Kellen Ball and Conner Scheich each tied for 105th at 230 (+14). Ball shot a final round 74 (+2), while Scheich closed with a 76 (+4).

Idaho ran away with the team title at 841 (-23). Gonzaga took second at 851 (-13), while UC San Diego rounded out the top three at 852 (-12). Northern Colorado's Kaelan Dulany stood atop the individual leaderboard at 202 (-14).

Brody Knowlton and Austin Barry participated in the individual tournament on the Silver Course. Knowlton tied for seventh at 210 (-6), and Barry placed in a tie for 30th at 224 (+8).

Wyoming is back on the course in a week. The Pokes travel to the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite from Sept. 29-30.
