The Cowgirl golfers return to action on Wednesday and Thursday hosting the annual Cowgirl Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes golf course in Maricopa, Ariz.
The event marks the second to last event of the season or the Cowgirls, as UW will remain in Phoenix and play in the Bobcat Classic to close out the regular season.
Lucia Morelli shot 1-under 70 in the opening round and 78 in the second round at the Silicon Valley Showcase. The freshman shot 75 on the final day to finish 23rd overall (+10) for her best career finish.
Wyoming has been led this season by Kyla Wilde averaging 75.3 stroke per round. Fellow senior Meghan Vogt adds 76.6 stroke per round on the season, as the senior duo will look for a late season push to close their Cowgirl careers.
