LARAMIE, Wyo. (Dec. 5, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirls begin their final stretch of non-conference contests on the road beginning Sunday with a trip to face Colorado at 1 p.m., in Boulder.

ABOUT THE COWGIRLS
Wyoming (3-4) is looking to win its third consecutive game with its trip South. The Cowgirls, who've been off since November 29, are coming off an impressive 66-59 home victory over South Dakota the last time out. UW led for over 32 minutes in last weekend's contest as it handed USD its first loss of the season (7-0).
Malene Pedersen reached the 20-point mark for the second consecutive game in the win over the Coyotes. Pedersen, who scored 25 points, tied a career-high by going 11-for-11 at the free-throw line in the win. As a team, the Cowgirls made 16-of-17 at the charity stripe. In last week's two Cowgirl wins, Pedersen averaged 25.5 points per game on 53-percent shooting from the floor and went 6-for-13 (46.2-percent) from 3-point range. Pedersen also averaged four rebounds and three assists per game for the week. Pedersen, who has led Wyoming in scoring in all seven games in 2025-26, leads the Mountain West in scoring, averaging 18 points per game. Her 52.7-percent shooting from the floor is third-best in the league while her 53.6-percent from 3-point range is tops in the conference and is eighth-best in the country.
Logann Alvar scored a career-high 16 points and tied a career-best with five rebounds in the win against South Dakota. Alvar is second on the team in scoring, averaging eight points per game. Lana Beslic leads the team in rebounding, averaging 4.6 a contest and is third on the team with 17 assists. Payton Muma leads the Cowgirls with 20 assists and 11 steals this season. Madi Symons has had a solid all-around start to her junior campaign. Symons is averaging 5.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while leading the team with five blocks. Symons is also fourth on the team with 13 assists.
As a team, Wyoming is second in the MW averaging 14.3 assists per game while its assist-to-turnover ratio ranks fourth in the conference. The Cowgirls have assisted on 65-percent of its made field goals this season and have recorded 20-plus assists, twice, this season. UW ranks in the top-third of the Mountain West in seven different statistical categories on the year.
SCOUTING COLORADO
Colorado has had a balanced offensive attack this season, as five players average at least nine points per game. Logyn Greer leads the Buffaloes averaging 11.1 points per game and is second on the team grabbing 5.2 rebounds per game. Kennedy Sanders and Desiree Wooten also average in double figures, scoring 10.5 and 10.2 points per game, respectively. Anaelle Dutat leads CU averaging 8.8 rebounds per game and scores 9.7 a contest. Zyanna Walker leads the team with 31 assists and 22 steals and averages 9.1 points per contest.
The Buffs average 70.4 points per game and have a plus-12 scoring margin, allowing just 58.4 a contest. Colorado shoots it at 43-percent as a team from the field and is making just 25.5-percent from 3-point range. Buffs opponents are shooting 37.7-percent overall and 31.3-percent from beyond-the-arc. The Buffaloes have been nearly plus-eight in rebounding margin this season and are averaging 14.4 assists per game. CU is 4-1 at home and has a pair of wins over Mountain West foes (New Mexico and Boise State).
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST COLORADO
Colorado leads the all-time series with the Cowgirls, 39-13 and won last season's opener, 56-50 in Laramie. Wyoming is 4-21 all time in Boulder and won the last meeting on the road, 82-75 in December of 2016.
