LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 1, 2025) – The University of Wyoming men's swim and dive team won its dual against Colorado School of Mines, 193.5-65.5, while the Cowgirls split their duals with a win over Mines, 203-53, and a loss to Northern Colorado, 140.5-121.5, Saturday, at Laramie High School.
Wyoming would honor nine seniors:
Berkeley Christensen,
Ellie Fritscher,
Alicia Gonzalez,
Veronika Ozimek,
Anna Roesler,
Natalie Six,
Collin Davis,
Christian Louie and
Caleb Ozenne. Also recognized were Charlie Clark and Luke Slabber, who passed away in February of 2024.
COWBOYS
The Cowboys' first event of the day was the 1-meter dive and Wyoming took the top three places. Sophomore
Jonah Mann finished with 272.90 points, an improvement, for first, freshman
Connor Liddle took second with an improved 265.95 points and junior
Bruno Grau finished in third
The men's first racing event was the 400-yard Medley Relay and the Cowboys went 1-2. The "A" team of junior
Simon Casey, freshman
Jackson Kogler, sophomore
Gray Sisco and sophomore
Luke O'Connor won with a time of 3:23.42. The "B" team was just behind them, coming in second with a time of 3:25.31.
In the 200-yard Freestyle, sophomore
Andrew Cooper picked up a second-place finish with his time of 1:43.54, his first of the season.
Cowboys swept the Top 3 places in the 50-yard as Casey, junior
Cameron Knox and freshman
Edward Rhoe went 1-2-3. Casey touched the wall at 23.58, Knox at 23.85, an improvement, and Rhoe finished at 24.17.
In the 50-yard Breaststroke, sophomore
Joe Morales won with a time of 25.99 while junior
Griffith Orloff finished second at 26.09.
Sophomore
Isaac Lee won the 200-yard Butterfly when he touched the wall at 1:53.66. He was closely followed by junior
Adam Pannell in lane eight, coming in second with a time of 1:54.05, an improvement.
Knox one-upped his third place in the 50-yard Backstroke when he won the 200-yard IM. He would improve his season time to 1:56.36. Junior
Derek Long would finish third at 2:01.01.
Casey and Kogler went 1-2 in the 200-yard Backstroke with times of 1:48.96 and 1:50.06, respectively.
In the 50-yard Butterfly, Sisco won with a time of 22.88 while freshman
Jack Boysen touched the wall third at 23.14.
Orloff and Morales would combine for 13 points in the 200-yard Breaststroke. They would finish with times of 2:06.27 for first and 2:10.55 for second, respectively.
The final diving event of the day for the Cowboys was the 3-meter. Grau won with a season-best score of 305.95, his first over 300 this year. Second was Mann with a point total of 282.80, also an improvement.
Lee was victorious in the 500-yard Freestyle with a time of 4:37.56 while Long finished third and touched the wall at 4:47.41.
Wyoming took the Top 3 places in the 100-yard IM with Kogler winning at 50.25, Knox taking second with a time of 52.75 and senior
Collin Davis finishing third at 53.05.
The Cowboys closed the meet finishing first and second in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay. The "A" squad of Casey, O'Connor, Rhoe and Sisco swam a time of 1:22.96.
COWGIRLS
The 3-meter dive started Wyoming's day on Saturday. Cowgirl seniors
Alicia Gonzalez and
Natalie Six finished in first and second, respectively. Gonzalez improved her score from yesterday, finishing with 306.10 points while Six also improved to a point total of 238.05.
The first event of the day in the pool was the 400-yard Medley Relay. The Cowgirl "A" team of freshman
Raiden Harris, junior
Taylor Craft, junior
Sophie Nutter and junior
Tara Joyce took second with a time of 3:50.36, to add four team points.
Senior
Ellie Fritscher took second in the 200-yard Freestyle with a season-best time of 1:56.28. She was the only Cowgirl in the Top 3.
Harris picked up another second place in the 50-yard Backstroke with her time of 26.93. Senior
Veronika Ozimek finished in third with a time of 27.25.
In the 200-yard Butterfly, Nutter picked up four team points with her second-place finish of 2:08.47.
Back on the boards, Gonzalez won with an improved score of 282.75 while Six finished second at 254.60 points, also an improvement.
Joyce won the 200-yard IM with her time of 2:07.56 while Harris picked up a victory in the 200-yard Backstroke at 2:06.27.
Sophomore
Taylor Cureton won her first individual race this season with her time of 25.36 in the 50-yard Butterfly.
Sophomore
Macey Hansen won the 500-yard Freestyle with a time of 5:06.31 and was shortly followed by freshman
Isabelle Henderson in second with a time of 5:09.34.
The last individual race of the day saw Joyce taking second in the 100-yard IM. She would finish with a time of 58.09.
The Cowgirl "A" team in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay would only finish second. Joyce, Harris, Cureton and junior
Tessa Bendokas would combine for a time of 1:34.70.
