DENVER – Cowgirl golf finished 12th in the 15-team Ron Moore Collegiate at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch.
 
Wyoming finished the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 894 (+30) to edge out Mountain West rivals New Mexico (+32) and UNLV (+37).

"While we were a few putts short of a really solid round today, I am pleased with our competitiveness in a championship environment," UW head coach Josey Stender said after the final 18 holes concluded Sunday. "I am also encouraged with the progress with each event we play and the players having more belief in themselves and each other."
 
Meghan Vogt, who tied the program record for lowest round with a 67 on Friday, carded a 73 on Sunday to finish +1 for the tournament and tied for 17^th to lead the brown and gold effort.

Kiley Reisner, the MW freshman of the month for September, shot an even par 72 in the final round Sunday. She moved up 18 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 30^th at +5 for the tournament.
 
"Fantastic tournament for Meg in a nationally ranked field. She played with such resilience and poise," Stender said. "Kiley also had a nice finish and showed improvement each round."
 
Elle Higgins, who set the new program record for lowest round with a 67 at the Utah Valley Wolverine Invitational to open the season, finished tied for 41^st at +7.
 
Vanderbilt (-24) dominated the event finishing 13 shots ahead of runner-ups Colorado (-11) and Texas State (-11).
 
The Cowgirls will conclude their fall schedule at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Oct. 20-22 in Lihu'e, Hawaii.
