LAHAINA, MAUI, Hawaii (10/28/25) – University of Wyoming men's golf head coach Joe Jensen urged Kristof Panke to play with more joy ahead of the second round at the Ka'anapali Classic by OUTRIGGER. The message got through, loud and clear.

Panke fired the finest single round in program history on Tuesday at the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course. He carded a 62 (-9), which bested the previous low of 63 (-8) set by Jimmy Dales and Drew McCullough.

"Kristof played with a little more joy, a little more gratitude and happiness today," Jensen said. "He's been trying to shoot this number, and I'm beyond thrilled that he was able to do it."

Panke's round didn't begin great with an opening-hole bogey. However, from then on out, he recorded 10 birdies and not a single bogey. Panke is now tied for 19th at 135 (-7).

Panke's fireworks helped the Pokes log a team score of 267 (-17), which is tied for the second-best single round team score in school history. The Cowboys were the biggest movers at the tournament, vaulting up seven spots, and are currently positioned in 10th at 552 (-16).

"It's good that this special round happened on a day and in a tournament with a bunch of good teams," Jensen said. "It's good for my young team to feel that and understand it. I'm proud of the guys. I believe in the guys, and for them to have a special day like today, I want them to feel good about the program they're building."

Brody Leid's scorecard on Tuesday isn't to be taken lightly, either. He was only slightly off Panke's pace, boasting a 65 (-6) – which included seven birdies – as he's also tied for 19th at 135 (-7).

The mark matches Leid's best-career round in relation to par. The 65, however, is the lowest round he's ever registered.

Conner Scheich is also in red numbers at 137 (-5), following a Round 2 score of 68 (-3), which is good enough for a share of 29th. Scheich holed five birdies on Tuesday.

Brody Knowlton rounded out Wyoming's countable scores. He carded a 72 (+1) on Tuesday and is currently tied for 96th at 145 (+3).

Ryker Lind's score is dropped from the team's tally. He's tied for 109th at 150 (+8) following a second round 73 (+2).

Kellen Ball and Austin Barry are both playing as individuals. Ball is tied for 74th at 142 (E) after a second round 75 (+4), while Barry is 118th at 159 (+17), following a Round 2 score of 83 (+12).

Oklahoma still sits atop the team leaderboard at 521 (-47). The Sooners' Ryder Cowan owns the individual lead at 126 (-16).

The third and final round gets underway on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
