LARAMIE, Wyoming (10/26/25) – The University of Wyoming men's golf team closes out its fall schedule in Hawaii. The Pokes are set to participate in the Ka'anapali Classic by Outrigger from Monday through Wednesday.

The tournament is held at the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course in Maui. It's a par 71 layout that stretches 6,700 yards. Golfers will complete 18 holes each day beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The young Pokes – comprised of five freshmen, a sophomore and a graduate – have gradually improved throughout the fall season. They've finished in the top seven at each of the last two tournaments, and Brody Leid has spearheaded that effort.

Leid hadn't placed inside the top 10 in his career until two tournaments ago at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite. Couple that tie for ninth with a tie for eighth at the Oregon State Invite, and Leid has pieced together and very strong fall.

Kristof Panke owns the other top 25 finish for Wyoming this fall. He accomplished that feat at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite where he shared 13th place.

The other five freshmen have been finding their groove of late. Kellen Ball, Austin Barry, Brody Knowlton, Ryker Lind and Conner Scheich have each made at least one start, while Ball has made the most, starting all four tournaments thus far.

Wyoming has competed in the Ka'anapali Classic each of the last five times it has been held. The Cowboys have finished anywhere from 10th to 16th as a team during that stretch. Leid led the Pokes last season, tying for 29th at 207 (-6).

It's a 19-team field in 2025. In addition to Wyoming, Hawaii, Colorado, Gonzaga, Georgia, East Tennessee State, UC Irvine, Indiana, Sacramento State, FGCU, North Florida, San Jose State, CSUN, Boise State, Oklahoma, UConn, TCU, Kansas and Southern Illinois are all slated to tee it up.

This'll mark the conclusion of the 2025-26 fall schedule. The next time Wyoming is on the course is at the Arizona N.I.T. from Feb. 3-4.
