COLUMBIA, Mo. (Oct. 17, 2025) – Six Cowgirls and one Cowboy posted personal bests as Wyoming finished 12th on the men's side, led by senior
Jacob White's Top 10 finish, and 29th on the women's at the Pre Nationals meet in Columbia, Mo., Friday morning.
COWBOYS
The Cowboys were paced for the fourth time this season by White as he crossed the line seventh, his best finish at a Pre National meet. White fought to keep his place in the front pack early, rising four places between the 2k, 3k and 4k split, ultimately finishing with a time of 23:12.2. This time sits as T-5 in program 8k history and gives White four of the Top 15 times.
Senior
Mathis Chavand moved to the second Cowboy finisher for the first time this season when he ran a time of 23:43.6 for 20th overall. His largest jump was at the 2k split when he rose 18 places to get in to the Top 30.
Senior
Ryker Holtzen struggled to keep his position late in the race but still finished 58th with a time of 24:14.5. He peaked at the 4k mark in 30th before losing ground until the 7k split and settling at his finish position.
Coming fourth for the Cowboys was senior
