LARAMIE, Wyo. (Oct. 1, 2025) – This Saturday, Oct. 4, will be a special day at the University of Wyoming as the Wyoming Cowboy Football team hosts the UNLV Rebels in a 5 p.m. kickoff at Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium. Wyoming fans can also make the day a special one for children and families in Albany County by donating to
Toys for Tots prior to the game from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Fans may donate either by providing new, unwrapped toys at toy collection bins at the stadium or by making cash or card donations to UW student-athletes and volunteers. Toy collection bins will be located at Gates 8, 6, 4 and 3 at War Memorial Stadium and at the entrance to the Wildcatter Stadium Club and Suites. UW student-athletes and volunteers will also be available at the collection locations to accept cash or card donations.
"Toys for Tots is one of the longest-standing community service fundraisers our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has sponsored,"
Taylor Stuemky, Senior Associate AD for Internal Operations/SWA said. "We want this year to be the biggest turnout ever. Our goal is to raise $5,000 and collect 500 new toys for the children and families of Albany County. Our community shows up for one another, and it is SAAC's honor to partner with Toys for Tots to help families during the holiday season."
UW student-athletes will also be collecting cash and card donations in the Ford Stadium Lot, Pepsi Pregame Zone in the Indoor Practice Facility and other locations around the stadium to benefit children and families in Albany County.
The University of Wyoming's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is sponsoring the event. The group is hoping to raise $5,000 for the organization and collect 500 toys.
All donations at this week's game will remain in Albany County.
