ST. GEORGE, Utah (MARCH 9, 2024) – Wyoming's Jadan Gonzalez claimed a share of the individual trophy after another strong round on day three of the Southern Utah Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational on Saturday at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah.
Gonzalez shot a 69 (-3) in the final round, which is the sixth-lowest round in Cowgirl history. She finished the weekend at even par with a score of 216. This marked the first event win for the Cowgirls since Cristiana Ciasca won the Hobble Creek Fall Classic in 2019.

"I'm so proud of Jadan on her well-deserved victory. She has made such a positive impact on the program in her short time here," said UW head coach Josey Stender about Gonzalez. "She played with poise and confidence, which I think propelled her to make so many birdies in the back nine."

Sophie Spiva capped off the weekend with a strong final round, shooting a 73 (+1). Her day three performance secured her a share of 9^th place. Spiva concluded the weekend at 224 (+8) playing as an indy.

Morgan Ryan, who finished tied for 26^th, shot a 79 (+7) in the final round and a 230 (+14) on the weekend. Grace Dunkleberger and Kyla Wilde both finished tied for 35^th, each shooting 233 (+17) for the weekend. Tomine Bjerkelo shot a 239 (+23) to finish tied for 54^th as Samantha Spielman shot a 241 (+25) to finish tied for 58^th. 

Boise State secured the team victory with a weekend score of 894 (+30). Weber State claimed second in the team standings at 904 (+40). Utah Valley and Oral Roberts tied for third at 907 (+43) as Stetson finished in fifth at 908 (+44). The Cowgirls closed the weekend seventh in the team standings with a team total of 916 (+52).
