ST. GEORGE, Utah (MARCH 8, 2024) – Following the second round of play at the Southern Utah Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah, the Wyoming women's golf team has climbed to third in the team standings after Friday's action. Through 36 holes, the Cowgirls have shot 605 (+29) and are five shots off Boise State for the lead.
"We had a very solid round and a strong comeback today," said UW head coach
Josey Stender. "I am very proud of the team for putting themselves in a competitive position again. Tomorrow will be fun!"
Jadan Gonzalez put together a strong performance in round two, shooting a 70 (-2) for the day. Her seven birdies lead the Cowgirls and is tied for second among the field. Having shot 147 (+3) through the opening two rounds, Gonzalez is tied for 4
th heading into the final round.

Morgan Ryan, and
Kyla Wilde are tied for 15
th. Ryan and Wild both shot a 75 (+3) for the day, while Spiva shot a 74 (+2). The trio sits at 151 (+7) through two rounds.
Tomine Bjerkelo, tied for 38
th, shot a 77 (+5) for the day.
Samantha Spielman shot a 77 (+5) in the second round and is tied for 56
th while
Grace Dunkleberger sits in a tie for 60
th after shooting 78 (+6).
Boise State continues to lead through the second round of play with a team total of 600 (+24). Oral Roberts sits in second at 602 (+26) as the Cowgirls are in third at 605 (+29). Utah Valley and Stetson are tied for fourth at 606 (+30). Southern Utah's T (Excel) Thalangkarn continues to lead the field at 139 (-5).
