LARAMIE, Wyo. (Sept. 27, 2023) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis squad continues fall action at a pair of sites this weekend. The Cowgirls travel to Colorado State Friday through Sunday for the Jon Messick Invitational. Violetta Borodina and Sophie Zehender will be traveling to Cary, N.C., for the ITA All-Americas.

Borodina and Zehender, fresh off their doubles title earlier this month at the Bedford Cup, begin play in North Carolina as a duo beginning Monday. Zehender was also selected to play in the singles portion of the event and begins her pre-qualifying rounds Saturday.

The rest of the Brown & Gold begins play at the Jon Messick Invite Friday. The invite starts at 10 a.m., with a pair of doubles rounds and a singles round. Saturday features two singles rounds, and one doubles round with final matches to be played Sunday. A total of eight teams will be participating down at CSU. The other six teams joining UW and the Rams will be Colorado, Iowa State, Metro State, South Dakota, Utah State and Weber State.

This weekend will be Wyoming's penultimate events of the fall season.
