TEMPE, Ariz. (July 10, 2023) – For the 11th time under Head Coach Dean Clower, the Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team has received the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Team Academic Award, announced Monday by the organization.

As a team, the Cowgirls once again had a stellar academic year in the classroom, compiling a 3.57 GPA as a squad in 2022-23. In order to receive the honor as a team, the squad must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above during the academic year. UW had six student-athletes receive Scholar Athlete honors this season. Those were, Violetta Borodina, Noesjka Brink, Ana Fernandez, Lucia Malinak, Maria Oreshkina and Sophie Zehender. A total of 43 Cowgirl student-athletes have now been named Scholar Athlete by the ITA under Clower.
