GREENWOOD, Ind. (5/23/23) – College Sport Communicators' announced its 2022-23 Academic All-District at-large selections Tuesday with University of Wyoming wrestler Jacob Wright earning his second straight at large All-District recognition.
 
The honorees are selected based on their academic performance and their athletic accomplishments. Wright held a 4.0 GPA this past year, while also finishing third at the Big 12 Championships qualifying for his fourth straight NCAA Tournament. Wright closed out his Cowboy career with 103 wins which ranks tied for 18^th all-time in program history. 
 
For Wright, this is his second straight season earning the All-District honors adding it to his impressive academic achievements which includes being named to the 2023 Big 12 All-Academic First team. 
 
CoSIDA first-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-Americans will be announced in mid-June.
