LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming Track & Field Teams will be in Boulder Colo., and Lubbock, Texas tom compete on Friday while Cowboy Sage Coventry will be competing in the Texas Tech Multis on Thursday and Friday.
While Coventry is competing in the Heptathlon, Cowboy teammates Hunter Brown and Kareem Mersal will also be in Lubbock for the Long Jump at the Texas Tech Open at 4PM MT on Friday afternoon.
Cowboy and Cowgirl distance runners will head back down to Boulder for the second time this calendar year to compete in the CU Invitational. The action from the track will get started at 4PM as well. Held at the Indoor Practice Facility on the University of Colorado's campus, spectators will be charged $8 for admission.
Mersal and Brown have the first and third best marks in the Mountain West this season, while Coventry holds the fourth best Heptathlon performance in school history. This will be his first multis event of the season.
Last time out in Boulder, Mason Norman broke the school record in the 3,000M race with a time of 8:04.00 while Katelyn Mitchem was just .11 seconds off of record pace on the women's side. Norman's time ranks second in the Mountain West so far this season.
