NORMAN, Okla. (Jan. 17, 2023) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team closed out its first few days of dual action down in the Sooner State Monday against Oklahoma. The fourth-ranked Sooners came out victorious, 7-0 in the match.
Noesjka Brink performed the best at the No. 4 singles spot as she lost in three sets, 6-4, 4-6 and 0-1 (4-10) as she lost the superset third. In doubles play, the team of Violetta Borodina and Maria Oreshkina were leading the No. 22 doubles tandem of Dana Guzman and Julia Garcia Ruiz, 5-4, before Oklahoma had secured the doubles point, leaving the contest unfinished.
The Cowgirls are off for the rest of January and will next return to action with their home-opener, February 4 as Idaho comes to Laramie.
