TULSA, Okla. (Jan. 15, 2023) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team closed competition at the Tulsa Hurricane Invitational Sunday with a pair of contests. UW concluded its match with Omaha with the doubles competition of the match before closing against host-Tulsa. Wyoming lost the contest against the Mavs, 5-2 and to Tulsa, 7-0.
The Cowgirls (0-3) took the doubles point against Omaha Sunday, picking up victories at No. 1 and 3. The tandem of Ana Fernandez and Sophie Zehender blanked Omaha's Zoe Adkins and Jessica Aragon, 6-0 at the first position. At the third spot, Noesjka Brink and Nikol Dobrilova were victorious, 6-3.
On the singles' side, Dobrilova picked up her second singles victory in as many matches to begin the dual season. Dobrilova won at the No. 5 spot over Lillian Tiemeyer, 6-2 and 6-3.
Wyoming closes its trip to the Sooner State with a contest Tuesday at fourth-ranked Oklahoma.
