GREENWOOD, Ind. (5/19/22) – CoSIDA announced its 2021-22 Academic All-American at-large selections Tuesday. University of Wyoming wrestler Jacob Wright earned second-team All-American recognition. It is the first career Academic All-American selection for Wright. 
 
The honorees are selected based on their academic performance and their athletic accomplishments. Wright held a 4.0 GPA this past year, while also taking third at the Big 12 Championships and qualifying to the NCAA Championships for the third straight in his 157-pound weight class. 
 
The All-American academic selection comes for Wright after already being named to the Big 12 All-Academic first team and the CoSIDA All-District First Team. Wright was one of just nine wrestlers in the Big 12 to post a 4.0 gpa.
