LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Nov. 17, 2022) – The Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball team closed the 2022 season losing on the road at conference-champion UNLV in three sets. Scores went 25-14, 25-23 and 25-16.
The Lady Rebels' offense proved to be too explosive in the match as UNLV (25-3, 16-1 MW) hit .398 in the contest. UW, meanwhile, hit .253 on the night. Both teams recorded three total blocks while UNLV had seven service aces to the Cowgirls' one.
KC McMahon led the way offensively in her final career match in the Brown & Gold with eight kills and hit .412 on the night. McMahon closes her career ninth all-time in program history with 1,163 kills. Corin Carruth and Rylee Schulz had seven kills each in the loss while Tierney Barlow added five and hit .556. Sarah Holcomb led the way defensively with a solo and block assist.
Wyoming closes the 2022 campaign 10-20 overall and 6-12 in Mountain West play.
