LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Oct. 15, 2022) – The Wyoming tennis team concluded play Saturday at the ITA Mountain Region Championships, hosted by UNLV. The Cowgirls picked up a trio of victories in added-match action Saturday.

Nikol Dobrilova, Ana Fernandez and Sophie Zehender all picked up singles victories on the day. Dobrilova won in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-3 over Utah Tech's Roshak, while Fernandez defeated New Mexico's Taborga, 6-4, 6-3. Zehender, meanwhile, took a hard-earned 2-6, 6-1 and 10-6 super set victory over Colorado's El Sayed.

In the lone doubles contest of the day for the Cowgirls, Fernandez and Zehender were defeated by Colorado's Balzert and El Sayed, 6-4.

This was the final fall action for the Cowgirls this season, as they now take an extended break before the spring, dual season begins January 14 at the Tulsa Invitational.
