Colorado Springs, Colo. — The University of Wyoming Track and Field teams capped off the spring 2021 indoor slate with day three of competition at the Championships at the Peak Meet held at the Air Force Academy in the Cadet Field House on Saturday Feb. 26.

"I thought our student-athletes competed very well against some of the best competition in the NCAA," said Head Coach Bryan Berryhill. "We improved as a team this indoor season and I really liked our focus and effort throughout. We know what we need to work on heading into the outdoor season and I'm confident we will continue to get better as a team."

The third and final day of the meet started off with the men's Shot Put and senior Colton Paller setting a new personal best throw of 55-8.25 for a fifth place finish. Paller set the standard for the Cowboy Shot Put this indoor season and bested his previous best by 3.3 feet. On the women's side, Addison Henry notched the highest finish for the Cowgirls with a throw of 48-11.50, good for fifth place.

The highest placing for a Cowgirl runner on Saturday belongs to Jasmyne Cooper for her third place finish in the 800 meters with an altitude-converted time of 2:13.48.

The Cowboys placed in 5th out of 15 teams with 49.5 total points while the Cowgirls finished in a T-11th out of 19 with 22 points.
