SCOUTING CSU PUEBLO
CSU Pueblo went 3-13 last season during its RMAC-only schedule, but returns a ton of talent from last season's squad, as well as brining in former Northern Colorado product, and 2020-21 Big Sky Most Valuable Player, Alisha Davis.
The ThunderWolves return their top-six leading scorers from last season. Sydni Williams led the squad with 12.8 points per game and grabbed 6.6 rebounds per in 2020-21. JaNaiya Davis, who averaged 11.3 per game, led CSU Pueblo with 89 assists and 48 steals last year. The ThuderWolves also return leading-rebounder Aubriana Noti, who pulled down nearly seven boards per game last season.
Last year at UNC, Davis was the only player in the Big Sky to average a double-double, as she led the league in both scoring (17.1) and rebounding (10.1). She also led the conference in blocks, double-doubles, field goals made and free-throw attempts.
Head Coach Tommie Johnson is entering his third season as the head man with the ThunderWolves.
SERIES AGAINST CSU PUEBLO
Tuesday will be the first-ever meeting between the Cowgirls and ThunderWolves. The two were supposed to play a game last season, but it was cancelled due to Covid-19 protocols at Pueblo.
