Junior (2023-24)
Named to the All-Mountain West Team for the second consecutive season. Became the first Cowgirl since Liv Roberts in 2016-17 and 2017-18 to be named All-Mountain West in two straight seasons. Led Wyoming and ranked sixth in the league averaging 14.3 points per game. Was second in the conference averaging 8.4 rebounds per game. Shot a league-leading and ranked 10th in the nation shooting 60.8-percent from the floor. Led the MW with 13 double-doubles on the season. Ranked second in the league in both blocks (54) and blocks per game (1.64). Became the 28th member of the 1,000-Point Club in program history in the January 20 win over Colorado State. Scored in double figures 27 times and had six contests with 20-or-more points, including a career-high 30 against Creighton (12/10). Recorded 10-or-more rebounds in 14 games. Tied the Mountain West Championship record for single-game blocks with seven against Boise State (3/11). Led UW with 83 made free throws and shot 75-percent at the line. Named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second consecutive season. Closes her junior season 19th in career points (1,238), 12th in career field goals made (507), 19th in made free throws (222), seventh in career rebounds (833), fourth in blocks (151) and seventh with 32 career double-doubles.
Sophomore (2022-23)
Was an All-Mountain West Team honoree. Mountain West Tournament All-Tournament Team. Was third in the league in scoring at 13.4 points per game, ranked second in the MW averaging 8.9 rebounds per contest, 2.1 blocks per game and a 58.4-percent field goal percentage. During league action she was third in scoring at 15.7 points per contest and led the league with a 63.4-percent shooting percentage. Started in all 34 games and had 22 contests where she scored in double figures, including six contests with 20-plus points. Pulled down 10-plus rebounds 11 times and had nine double-doubles on the season. Led the Cowgirls with 187 made field goals and had a team-leading 69 blocks, which are the sixth-most in a single season in program history. Her 296 rebounds and field goal percentage are also the sixth-most in a single year in UW history. Scored a career-high 27 points in the regular-season finale against Colorado State (2/25) and pulled down 21 rebounds November 18 against Denver, which are tied for the fourth-most in a game in program history. It also marked the first time since 2013 that a Cowgirl recorded 20-or-more boards. Through her first two seasons, Fertig ranks 21st in program history with 556 career rebounds, is sixth with 97 blocks and ranks 11th all-time with 19 career double-doubles.
Freshman (2021-22)
Named the 2021-22 Mountain West Freshman of the Year and to the MW’s All-Freshman Team. Was a five-time Mountain West Freshman of the Week honoree. Averaged 10.5 points per game, which ranked third on the Cowgirls and recorded a team-high 8.7 rebounds per contest, which was fourth-best in the league. Fertig’s 9.5 rebounds per contest during league play ranked third in the MW. Scored in double figures in 17 contests, had 14 games with double-digit rebounds and tallied 10 double-doubles on the season. Tied the Mountain West’s freshman record for single-game rebounds with 18, twice, at New Mexico (2/5) and in the WNIT against Tulsa (3/20). Had a pair of 20-plus scoring games, including a season-high 24 in the win over Nevada (1/29). Shot a team-high 50.4-percent from the floor in 2021-22 and was second on the team with 63 made free throws. Led UW with 28 blocks and had a pair of games with four on the season. Her 260 rebounds are the 16th-most for a single season in program history.
High School
Allyson Fertig was a four-time Wyoming All-State selection during her high school career and helped lead Douglas High School to three State Basketball Championships (covid-19 canceled the 2020 tournament) ... was a two-time (2020 and 2021) Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year ... was the Max Preps Player of the Year for Wyoming in 2021 ... was a four-time all-conference honoree in both basketball and volleyball ... was also a decorated volleyball and track & field athlete in high school ... two-time shot put state champion ... 4.0 GPA in high school and highest ACT score in the Douglas senior class.
